Many of you may recall that we had planned to host a Pilgrimscourse led by Sheelagh Deller during the semester break. Because more people were interested in attending the course immediately prior to our summer break, we're now making final arrangements for the end of June 2008. Sheelagh is not available, but Pilgrims has a pool of talented experts to draw from. Exact dates, hours, and costs will be determined soon, based partly on your feedback.
Please "sign up" ifyou are interested in attending the June 2008 course. Also, please make suggestions aboutwhich modules and what content should be included. We're hoping to become qualified trainers ourselves so that we can work together to improve teaching -- especially ELT -- in Turkey.

Since I took the 'Teacher Training' course from the British Council years ago I did not need to assign my name in the first term. After the cancelation of this course this Monday Philip told us to tell our topics in our minds for June. Although it is not in their list I would like to take an "effective" course on CEF if it is possible. I said effective because as you all know we have been applying CEF at Terakki for 5 years especially in the secondary part and naturally we have many experiences. Moreover I am going to give a course on CEF in Kültür University for 10 weeks in April. So it has to be something supportive for both me and everybody at Terakki.
I hope they provide us a positive and supportive training atmosphere at Terakki.

Creative Writing ( different types of writing, editing, re-editing, error correction, the evaluation of writing)
